“I am music and music is me.” This powerful statement embodies the passion and lifelong dedication of Jamaican-born, Canadian-based artist Winston Paddy.

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Winston Paddy developed a deep connection to music at an early age. Influenced by a wide range of local and international artists, he cultivated a love for multiple genres while remaining rooted in reggae. Gifted with an extraordinary eight-octave vocal range, Winston has mastered the ability to move effortlessly between different styles and genres of music.

At just eleven years old, he captivated his first audience with a remarkable falsetto performance—an early indication of the vocal talent that would define his career. His ability quickly attracted the attention of key figures in Jamaica’s music industry, including Derek Barnett of Sagittarius Band, Wee Pow of Stone Love, and Father Romey of Exodus Nuclear. Under their guidance, Winston gained valuable exposure and began establishing himself within the reggae scene.

During this early stage of his career, Winston Paddy recorded music for Stone Love, including the track “Me Me Me” alongside renowned dancehall artist Papa San. He also recorded songs for Derek Barnett the legendary reggae guitarist and Bingy Bunny, further solidifying his credibility within Jamaica’s music community.

By the late 1980s, Winston began touring internationally, performing across Canada with prominent reggae acts such as Ninjaman, Johnny Osbourne, Blacka Ranks, and Crystal. These experiences broadened his audience and strengthened his stage presence. In 1990, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Canada to further expand his career.

A dedicated independent artist, Winston took control of his creative direction early on. His first self-produced single, a rendition of “Inside of You” by Ray, Goodman & Brown, was well received and marked the beginning of his journey as a producer. He went on to release his debut album Unity, featuring standout tracks such as “Thin Line,” “Unity,” “Suffering,” and “URD1.”

Through his label, Indeka Production, Winston Paddy has continued to write, produce, and release music independently. His catalog includes singles such as “Money Money,” “Bye Bye,” “If Love Must Go,” “Release Me,” and many more as well as the sophomore album For the Ladies, a project highlighting his affinity for romantic and soulful interpretations.

His latest project, the EP Whispers of Love, is a smooth and heartfelt collection of Lovers Rock reggae, showcasing his signature vocal style and commitment to timeless themes of love and connection.

In June of 2026 Winston Paddy released a message to the world with his single “Don’t Give Up” a motivational and positive view on life’s journey.

With a career defined by versatility, independence, and authenticity, Winston Paddy continues to evolve as an artist. His ability to transcend genres while staying true to his reggae roots ensures that his music resonates with diverse audiences worldwide.
